ABOUT YOUR PET'S GENERAL HEALTH:

Having your pet vaccinated against contagious diseases may be one of the most important things you ever do for, your pet. We can advise you what is best for your individual pet, but here are some guidelines:
Puppies and kittens should begin a series of vaccinations at 6-8 weeks of age. The antibodies from mother's milk interferes with vaccinations, so that each one gives only partial immunity in increasing amounts during the series. Distemper in both species needs to be given every three to four weeks until at least 16 weeks of age. A vaccine against feline leukemia is available to help prevent infections by this deadly virus, responsible for a large percentage of feline mortality every year. The vaccine has so far proven itself to be highly effective. We strongly recommend it for all cats having contact with other cats of unknown leukemia status. All dogs should be tested for heartworm disease annually, and placed on preventive medication if negative. Remember that it can be lethal to give a dog the preventative if it has not been tested and found to be negative.

ABOUT MEDICATIONS:
The wrong medications at the wrong time can be
very detrimental to your pet's health. Always follow the directions on your pet's medications precisely... do not save them for future use. Never give your pet human pain killers or other human medication - they can be deadly. Use only medication that has been prescribed by a veterinarian and KEEP ALL MEDICATIONS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS
